Update: COVID-19 Recovery & Reopening

The City of Mississauga is taking steps to reopen our programs and facilities safely with support from Peel Public Health and government partners.

Our sportsplex, arenas, and fitness centre will reopen on September 8, 2020!

Rinks Hours of Operation
Daily, 6:30am - 11pm

Fitness Centre/Weight Room Hours of Operation
Monday - Thursday, 4:45pm - 7:15pm

Modified programming will include a variety of drop-in classes and weight room/cardio access with online reservations, available up to seven days in advance.

Council has supported a phased plan for facility rentals.

All permits will be required to follow provincial and regional guidelines.  Currently, provincial guidelines only allow training sessions for team sports – no games or scrimmages are permitted.  Groups are also required to put in place operational procedures in order to maintain appropriate physical distancing as mandated by the province.

Council has directed that permits for festivals, events, tournaments and other large gatherings, with more than 50 people be cancelled until October 12, 2020.

If you have had a booking that has been cancelled as a result, you will receive a credit on your account for the time missed.

To receive a refund instead of a credit or to find out information about booking a rental for a future date, please contact facility.rentals@mississauga.ca.

Council approved the cancellation of permits for major festivals, large events and other gatherings in City facilities until October 12, 2020. Impacted permit holders will be notified by City staff.

As provincial orders are revised, City staff will work with guidance from Peel Public Health on establishing parameters for the safe re-opening of facilities and permitting of small group activities.

Fan Safety is Priority. Ticketmaster has provided a "Status of Events" list as well as "Updated Information About Event Status, Refunds and Options."

Tickets for postponed events will be honoured at the rescheduled date.

March 23: Ontario Hockey League Commissioner David Branch announced today the conclusion of the 2019-20 OHL Regular Season. Following a meeting with the OHL Board of Governors and consultation with medical professionals, it was determined that the remaining 56 games of the 2019-20 OHL Regular Season schedule will be cancelled and not played.

Tickets for cancelled games, will automatically be refunded to the original purchaser at original point of purchase. In person refund requests at the venue box office will occur after re-opening, please hold on to your ticket.

June 4: NBA G League President Shareef Abdur-Rahim today announced that the remainder of the 2019-20 NBA G League season, which was suspended March 12, has been cancelled. “While cancelling the remainder of our season weighs heavily on us, we recognize that it is the most appropriate action to take for our league,” said Abdur-Rahim.  “I extend my sincere gratitude to NBA G League players and coaches for giving their all to their teams and fans this season.  And to our fans, I thank you and look forward to resuming play for the 2020-21 season.”

The upcoming performance of Baby Shark Live!, on September 12 at 3pm, has been cancelled due to COVID-19.

The performance of Neha Kakkar, originally scheduled on April 18, 2020 and postponed to September 19, 2020, has now been cancelled due to COVID-19.
