Canadian Indoor Rowing Championships

ROWING ON ICE. The Canadian Indoor Rowing Championships is the pinnacle competition  for indoor rowing training. In its 37th year, CIRC brings together over 800 athletes to race side by side on Concept 2 Ergometers simulating on-the-water racing on the big screen.

Rowers and paddlers in age categories from 13 to 85, both Para and able-bodied, will be racing on Concept 2 rowing ergometers set up side by side for gold, silver or bronze.

This event is free and open to cheering spectators, family members, and coaches.

There will be a half time show and it is going to be out of this world!  Canadian Space Agency Astronaut David Saint-Jacques will join the action from Houston via video conference on Sunday during the CIRC half-time show led by Marnie McBean, 3x Olympic gold medalist and current Chef de Mission of Team Canada for Tokyo 2020 Olympics.   Astronaut David Saint-Jacques, a rower, demonstrated his commitment to indoor rowing on his redesigned ergometer on the International Space Station where he spent 204 days. Marnie will lead a lively Q&A session wiht astronaut Saint-Jacques after his presentation.  The show takes place between 12:25 to 1:00 pm at Centre ice.
