The FIRST Ontario Robotics Provincial Championship combines the excitement of sport with the rigours of science and technology. High school students will showcase their design and engineering skills and compete in Canada’s largest high school robotics event at the FIRST® Robotics Competition Provincial Championship in partnership with the City of Mississauga.
The Paramount Fine Foods Centre will host a fleet of the most advanced intelligent robots and robotics teams from across Ontario on Friday, April 12 and Saturday, April 13, 2019. With strict rules and limited resources, the teams have raised funds, designed a team brand, honed teamwork skills, and built and programmed robots to perform prescribed tasks against a field of competitors. FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is an international non-profit organization designed to inspire students to pursue further studies and careers in science, engineering, computers and technology.
