The Showcase Cup is an in-season single-elimination tournament where teams compete for the Showcase Cup Championship. The teams with the best win percentage in each regional pod compete for the cup, while the remaining teams each play two games in the tournament. The Showcase is a popular event for NBA scouts.
After the Showcase Cup, NBA G League team records reset as they prepare for the regular season. The Raptors 905 open the regular season on the road as they take on the Iowa Wolves Dec. 29.
Noteworthy homes games on the 2022-23 schedule include the second annual International Women’s Night Game on March 8 vs. the Delaware Blue Coats. Shareef O’Neal and the G League Ignite travel north of the border on March 5 for the first time in program history. Based in Henderson, Nevada, NBA G League Ignite is a first-of-its-kind team dedicated to developing top young prospects in preparation for the NBA Draft.
The longest home stand of the season is six games from Jan. 25 – Feb. 8 (14 days). The longest road swing is four games which happens Dec. 29 – Jan. 4 (seven days).
Raptors 905’s busiest month is March with 12 games – including the most home games with eight – while the busiest road months are January and February with five games away from Mississauga respectively.
