All permits will be required to follow provincial and regional guidelines. Currently, provincial guidelines only allow training sessions for team sports – no games or scrimmages are permitted. Groups are also required to put in place operational procedures in order to maintain appropriate physical distancing as mandated by the province. All indoor rentals are limited to groups of 10.

Festivals, events, tournaments and other large gatherings, are suspended until November 7, 2020.

As provincial orders are revised, City staff will work with guidance from Peel Public Health on establishing parameters for the safe re-opening of facilities and permitting of small group activities.
Fan Safety is Priority. Ticketmaster has provided a "Status of Events" list as well as "Updated Information About Event Status, Refunds and Options."
Tickets for cancelled events will automatically be refunded to the original purchaser at point of purchase. In person refund requests at the venue box office will occur after re-opening, please hold on to your ticket.
Tickets for postponed events will be honoured at the rescheduled date.
The Ontario Hockey League continues to work with government and health agencies to plan the safe return of OHL action while also finalizing outstanding issues such as safe attendance at venues and cross border travel for teams. In preparation for the 2020-21 playing season, the League announced a number of key dates to be circled on the calendar.
OHL Training Camps are scheduled to open on Sunday, November 15, with Exhibition play commencing on the weekends of November 20-22 and 27-29.
Other notable dates for the 2020-21 season include a February 10, 2021 trade deadline, the conclusion of the Regular Season on April 29 and the 2021 OHL Playoffs for the J. Ross Robertson Cup taking place from May 2 to June 14. The 2021 Memorial Cup presented by Kia is scheduled for June 17-27 and will be hosted by either the Oshawa Generals or the Soo Greyhounds.
With an eye to the future, the 2021 OHL Priority Selection presented by Real Canadian Superstore is scheduled for Saturday, May 8 followed by the OHL Under-18 Priority Selection on Wednesday, May 12.
The OHL plans to open the 2020-21 Regular Season on the previously announced target start date of Tuesday, December 1.
