Update: COVID-19

Please be advised that due to the COVID-19 virus, the City of Mississauga has taken proactive preventative measures in the best interest of protecting our community and staff.

  • The Paramount Fine Foods Centre will be closed to the public until further notice in addition to the cancellation of all Spring programs and activities.
  • Based on the advice of Peel Public Health, at the City Council Meeting (May 27), Council has directed that permits for festivals, events, tournaments and other large gatherings, with more than 50 people in city facilities be cancelled until September 7, 2020.  Permit holders for larger gatherings of over 50 people will be contacted directly and credited accordingly.  To request a refund or for any other questions, please contact our Customer Service Centre at facility.rentals@mississauga.ca.

2020 Spring programs
Spring programming (registered and drop-in) has been cancelled.
A credit will automatically be placed on your account for the value of your registration(s) by Wednesday, April 15th. To request a refund once the credit is applied, please log into your account on ActiveMississauga, under “manage account,” select “request a refund.” If you are having difficulty, you can also request a refund by completing the request a refund form. Please allow 10 business days for processing the forms as we are experiencing a high volume.

Memberships, passes and payments
All memberships are affected by the current closures. Please review the information posted on our Recreation COVID-19 update page.

Facility rentals & bookings
All facility rentals have been cancelled up until July 3rd, 2020. If you’ve booked a room, field, or ice rental during our closure, you will receive a credit on your account for the time missed.
To receive a refund instead of a credit, complete the request a refund form.

Festivals, Events and Gatherings within City Facilities Cancelled to September 7
Council approved the cancellation of permits for major festivals, large events and other gatherings in City facilities until September 7, 2020. Impacted permit holders will be notified by City staff.

As provincial orders are revised, City staff will work with guidance from Peel Public Health on establishing parameters for the safe re-opening of facilities and permitting of small group activities.

Fan Safety is Priority. Ticketmaster has provided a Status of Events list as well as Information Regarding Cancellation and Rescheduling of Live Events.

Tickets for cancelled events will automatically be refunded to the original purchaser at point of purchase. In person refund requests at the venue box office will occur after re-opening, please hold on to your ticket.

Tickets for postponed events will be honoured at the rescheduled date.

Mississauga Steelheads
March 23: Ontario Hockey League Commissioner David Branch announced today the conclusion of the 2019-20 OHL Regular Season. Following a meeting with the OHL Board of Governors and consultation with medical professionals, it was determined that the remaining 56 games of the 2019-20 OHL Regular Season schedule will be cancelled and not played.

Tickets for cancelled games, will automatically be refunded to the original purchaser at original point of purchase. In person refund requests at the venue box office will occur after re-opening, please hold on to your ticket. Please visit Ticketmaster’s Help Center for more information.

Games have been suspended until further notice. MLSE will provide further updates as information is made available to us. Ticket holders are reminded to hang onto your tickets as they will remain valid if the game/event is rescheduled. If the game/event is not rescheduled, additional details will be communicated.

The Little Native Hockey League opening ceremonies and tournament has been cancelled.

2020 Junior Karate Nationals
The health and safety of the Karate Canada community is our top priority. Given recent and ongoing developments of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, Karate Canada has cancelled the 2020 Youth, Cadet, Junior and U21 National Championships, which were scheduled to be held in Mississauga (Toronto, ON), on May 1-3.

At the direction of government and public health officials, Pinkfong and Round Room Live have postponed all upcoming performances of Baby Shark Live!.
